About the event
A Wicklow-based artist, Cherry takes an innovative approach to traditional life drawing and the visual language of representation. Her bold and dynamic compositions challenge conventional depictions of the nude in art and contemporary culture, raising questions about its presence in the digital and cyber landscapes that shape modern life. Her faceless, featureless figures—stripped of defining characteristics and embodying an almost androgynous form—challenge the viewer's gaze and interest…
The exhibition, curated by Mary Doyle Burke, includes an essay by esteemed art critic Cristín Leach. The opening event, which will take place at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 22nd, will feature an address by internationally renowned artist Aideen Barry.
